Dream Come True: 5 Fabulous Days at The Ritz!

By Lara 105 Comments

Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of staying at “The Ritz” in New York City. Well, I did not get to go to New York, but I did get to stay at The Ritz Carlton Golf Resort, in Naples, Florida, and it was everything I dreamed of — and MUCH more! I have never stayed at a place quite so perfect before–from the amazing customer service to the delicious food, spectacular views, and pristine rooms, it was perfection.

From the moment we walked through the giant doors we were catered to, and treated like important foreign dignitaries. It was like nothing I had ever experienced!

Our Beautiful Beds at The Ritz Carlton Golf Resort, in Naples, Florida

Our Beautiful Beds.

When we got to our room, we were treated to a fabulously decorated, spacious, and very clean environment. I LOVED the bedding!

Bathroom at The Ritz Carlton Golf Resort, in Naples, Florida

Our gorgeous bathroom!

The bathroom was huge… and gorgeous! It had marble tops, double sinks, a large bath tub, a spacious shower, a toilet “room” with a door, and tons of space–plus all the toiletries you could possibly need!

Our TV, Fridge, Safe, Dresser, Desk, etc. The Ritz Carlton Golf Resort, in Naples, Florida

Our TV, Fridge, Safe, Desk, etc.

I loved the dark wood furniture. There was also a large dresser, closet, and a couple of chairs in our room. We had a lot of space which was nice since we are a family of four. We did not feel crammed at all.

The View from our Room at The Ritz Carlton Golf Resort, in Naples, Florida

The View from our Room!!

Then, there was the view from our patio. The picture above does not even come close to doing it justice. It was spectacular! I would find myself going out onto the porch every day–just to look at the amazing view I had the privilege of seeing!

Poolside at The Ritz Carlton Golf Resort, in Naples, Florida

Poolside …

We spent a LOT of time at the pool! It was wonderful! There were toys, games, a spa, and the most amazing customer service I have ever experienced. As soon as we arrived at the pool, there was someone there to greet us, and help us get comfortable. They brought out fresh chair covers, towels, and water. They served fruit, trail mix, flavored and bottled water. They were very attentive, and made us feel special.

Then there was the poolside dining…

Poolside Dining at The Ritz Carlton Golf Resort, in Naples, Florida

The food was DELICIOUS!

Both of my girls LOVED their chicken fingers and fries. And, my husband and I really enjoyed the nachos. They were some of the best nachos I have ever had. YUM! The food was really good.

Turn Down Service at The Ritz Carlton Golf Resort, in Naples, Florida

Turn Down Service!!!!! And, yes, there was chocolate and it was yummy!

I had never experienced “turn down service” quite like this before, so when we came back to our room and the beds were all ready for us, I was pleasantly surprised! They had robes, slippers, chocolate, fresh water and everything was clean! This momma was beyond excited, and I am trying to figure out how to find some Ritz elves to come and do this for me at home!

Bathing Suites hung up for us at The Ritz Carlton Golf Resort, in Naples, Florida

They HUNG our bathing suits while we went to dinner!

One thing that really stood out for me was that when we left the room after the pool, I left all of our bathing suits hanging on the tub and shower. When we got back later that evening, they were all hanging neatly above the tub on a string! It was a seemingly simple gesture, but it helped our suits dry quick, and really just went above and beyond.

It was a countless number of little things just like that–that really made our stay at The Ritz Carlton Golf Resort, in Naples, Florida wonderful. The staff always went above and beyond in every single area. I mean even when we called to ask for more tea bags, they came with a tray of various teas, honey, mugs, spoons, and all the things you would need for good tea! Any other hotel I have ever stayed in would have brought 2-3 tea bags and that’s it.

Sunset Poolside at The Ritz Carlton Golf Resort, in Naples, Florida

Our last evening sunset–poolside…

The views were beautiful, and we were sad when the end of our wonderful stay was upon us…

Sunrise at The Ritz Carlton Golf Resort, in Naples, Florida

Beautiful sunrise on our last morning…

Our last morning of our stay at The Ritz Carlton Golf Resort, in Naples, Florida also happened to be my oldest daughter’s 20th birthday. It was a wonderful way to start the day–sitting on our balcony watching the sun wake up and greet us on this special day!

There are so many more things I could say. It really was an incredible experience for us! The hotel had so much to offer: a fitness center, golfing, delicious restaurants, poolside dining, all the fruit you could want, flavored water when you arrived and left, beautiful views, awesome rooms, and so many other things. However, it was really the customer service that stood out the most for me. I have heard people say things like: “This isn’t The Ritz” or “It certainly wasn’t The Ritz.” Now I understand. There is nothing quite like staying at The Ritz Carlton!

I have a new dream!

I want to stay at every Ritz Carlton in the USA! After that… well…

So stay tuned for future posts about further Ritz Carlton experiences, and make sure that you check them out! They are WELL worth it! Trust me!

We love Naples. We bought a condo in Ft. Myers after staying at the La Playa in Naples (right down the road from where you were) for a wedding we liked it so much. If you go back try that hotel too. Now as for the Ritz, I’ve driven by there and I love how it’s secluded even though its away from the shoreline.

It sounds like you had a great time and enjoyed amazing service and five star accommodations which is what you should expect from The Ritz Carlton Resort or any hotel really. Thank you for sharing this review.

That place looks super nice! and very nice of them to hang up the bathing suits. Kind of funny that they have a clothes line in the Ritz! LOL
